Great Ceramic Artist MUNSHI ABDUL KAREEM
at that time it is known by the name Standard Pottery.
Under the inspiring guidance of MUNSHI ABDUL KAREEM the
industry has been restructured by his Grandsons SALMAN AHMAD & KAMRAN AHMAD and
it is renowned by Standard Ceramic Industry.
We belong to one of the oldest families that started manufacturing
of Ceramic product in Khurja.
The Great-Great-Grandfather of SALMAN AHMAD, Mr SHEIKH KARIM ULLAH ,
whose forefathers were migrants
from Afghanistan and adopted pottery profession, sometime in 1840 was a great craftsman.
The British Regime of India, commissioned told him to demonstrate his skills on a potter's wheel at the Coronation
Exhibition in England in the year 1911.
He thrilled and impressed the
visitors to the Exhibition by his performance of the art of pottery and the skillful use of the potter's wheel.
